How to improve xfire preformance in bf3?
Ok so i hav xfire 6870's and on bf3 on ultra with no msaa i get about 22-40 fps more often 25 i am using the newest 12.3 drivers, i was wondering if i am missing something or there is some way to get higher fps. maybe previous drivers? if so which one will give me the best fps. thx alot
cpu: amd phenom II x4 3.6 ghz
ram: 8 gb ddr3
gpu: 2x hd 6870 in crossfire
Nice build ^__^
I would say the processor was mostly contributed to the low fps. 22-40 fps in ultra should be able to gain with one 6870 overclocked. My phenom X4-B55 was unable to feed enough for BF3, some other might disagree with this but what bould be more explained an increase from 30-40 fps in 768p high setting into 40-65 fps when i increse the overclock into 4 GHz.
Next, your crossfire might not set properly.I admit never tried crossfire myself since i was in doubt the effectiveness of crossfire against single gpu. Tough last time i research a lot since i was preparing to crossfire my 6850. Incase you forgot, the crossfire will require AMD catalyst application profiles (CAP) in order to work properly. If you already installed it, then i'm out of suggestion since you are now more knowledgeable in crossfire than my self.
