I love computers and networking. I need better job opportunity and less headache for work. I do not want to get too pressured on the job. What should be the best choice?

Network engineering is more about designing and execution. Administration is more of a maintenance job (monitoring, make sure everything keeps working, replace equipment, etc.) The terms are ambiguous, though. The two careers share skill sets, and therefore can do and eventually end up doing many of the same things. In other words, they overlap quite a bit. In smaller corporations, you might end up doing both jobs anyway. |

Grrrrr. This question gets asked a lot here. No one can tell you which direction to take your education or career. Do whatever you like best. While you are learning it will become clear which one you are best suited for. Just follow your gut. Don't worry about which job gets paid more. If you're good at what you do and you like it, you'll make more money than if you're bad at it and hate it. Trust me on this. |

I think 'Network anything' can be a tough job, because they are the guys who get called very often for very menial issues, and say if a virus breaks out, then all hell can break loose. |

Engineer can do Administrative job also but an Administrator can/may not work as engineer. |
